Consul General of India in Brisbane Neetu Bhagotia addressed the 40th Anniversary Celebrations of the Australia India Business Council (AIBC), with the event highlighting the growing economic relationship between Australia and India and the importance of deeper business partnerships.
Queensland Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates delivered the keynote address, highlighting the strengthening India-Queensland relationship and the Queensland Government’s commitment to further developing these ties.
Representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Centre for Australia-India Relations, Trade and Investment Queensland and Business Chamber Queensland attended the celebrations along with representatives from industry, academia and the Indian diaspora.
The gathering marked four decades of AIBC’s work in promoting business and economic connections between Australia and India.
