In a milestone celebration, the International Day of Yoga was recently observed for the first time in Albany, Western Australia, through a collaborative effort between the Consulate General of India (CGI) in Perth and the Southern Aboriginal Corporation.
The event brought together members of the local community to embrace yoga’s message of health, harmony, and unity, highlighting the ancient practice’s relevance in modern life. The collaboration marked a meaningful step in building cross-cultural connections and promoting wellness through shared traditions.
Organisers expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and emphasised the importance of such inclusive events in fostering mutual respect, cultural understanding, and community well-being.
