Applications have opened for the 88th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), an initiative aimed at reconnecting young members of the Indian diaspora with India’s culture, heritage, and contemporary development journey.
The programme is organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and invites eligible youth of Indian origin, excluding Non-Resident Indians, to take part in the immersive experience. Scheduled to run from March 8 to March 27, 2026, the initiative offers participants an opportunity to engage with India’s traditions, institutions, and progress through curated visits and interactions.
According to the announcement, applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age, hold a graduate qualification, and demonstrate proficiency in English. The programme seeks to encourage stronger cultural connections while giving diaspora youth a deeper understanding of India’s evolving global role.
Completed application forms, along with the required supporting documents, must be submitted by February 19, 2026, to the Consulate via the designated email address, com.perth@mea.gov.in. Organisers have encouraged interested applicants to apply within the deadline to be considered for the upcoming edition of the programme
