The Consulate General of India in Sydney hosted a roundtable discussion on June 23 with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Industry Academia Global Partnership delegation to explore ways of strengthening India-Australia collaboration in higher education, research and industry.
According to the Consulate General of India in Sydney, the delegation comprised 22 representatives from leading Indian academic institutions, including the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, BITS Pilani, ICFAI, BML Munjal University, MAHE Manipal and JIS University, along with representatives from companies such as Wipro, KONE Elevators, Q&O Solutions and Kenverse.
The discussions focused on expanding partnerships between academia and industry in both countries, with particular emphasis on technology transfer, research commercialisation and innovation-driven collaboration with corporate partners.
According to the Consulate, participants exchanged ideas on building stronger institutional linkages and creating opportunities for joint research, skills development and knowledge-sharing to further deepen the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
