Lisa Singh, CEO of the Australia India Institute, delivered a lecture in New Delhi analysing the recent Australian federal election and its implications for India. The event was held at the Melbourne Global Centre – Delhi.
In conversation with Dr Manish Dabhade, Singh discussed the structure of Australia’s electoral system, the strong performance by the Labor Party, and the future direction of Australia-India relations. The session offered insights into how shifts in Australian domestic politics may influence foreign policy, particularly engagement with India.
Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner to India, Nick McCaffrey, also shared his remarks, adding diplomatic context to the discussion.
