The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in collaboration with the Australia India Business Council, hosted a productive ‘Mining & METS Industry Seminar and Networking Session’ on October 29, 2024. The event featured a delegation led by the Secretary of India’s Ministry of Mines, with representatives from prominent Indian mining companies meeting with around 20 New South Wales mining and METS (Mining Equipment, Technology, and Services) firms.
High Commissioner, Gopal Baglay, Consul General Dr. S. Janakiraman and Associate Director of Investment NSW addressed the audience, which focused on fostering collaboration in innovation and sustainable mining practices. The seminar marked a significant step in strengthening the mining sector ties between Australia and India.
