The Australia India Punjabi Council organised a Gurbani kirtan in Canberra on 29 November 2025 to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadurji, attended by the High Commissioner of India along with Hon Andrew Leigh MP, Hon David Smith MP, and Fiji’s High Commissioner H.E. Mr Ajay Amrit. The gathering celebrated the Guru’s timeless message of faith and sacrifice that resonates with communities worldwide.
The High Commissioner noted the enduring inspiration from Guru Tegh Bahadurji’s legacy, which transcends cultural boundaries. The council acknowledged S. Ravinder Singh Sahni’s leadership in successfully staging this first event to honour Punjab’s harmonious traditions and community spirit.
