Australia-India skilling ties in focus at AIBC event

Canberra, September 11 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk) India’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary opened his visit to Australia with an address at the Australia India Business Council event, ‘Shaping the Future of Skilling between India and Australia’, in Melbourne.

Chaudhary underlined the Government of India’s ambitious initiatives to equip the country’s vast human resources with modern skills, aligning with the vision of making
India a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He stressed that the growing India–Australia partnership
in skilling and education offers opportunities for shared progress.

Australia’s Minister for Skills and Training, Andrew Giles MP, echoed this sentiment,
outlining the complementarity of strengths between the two nations and voicing strong
appreciation for the Indian diaspora’s contributions to Australia’s society and economy.
