Senior officials and strategic experts from India and Australia participated in the Australia-India 1.5 Strategic Dialogue in Sydney, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, critical technology and defence.
The dialogue was organised by the Ananta Centre and Asia Society with support from India’s Ministry of External Affairs and Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Discussions during the event centred on advancing the next phase of India-Australia relations through collaboration in clean energy, digital infrastructure, resilient supply chains and defence industry cooperation.
High Commissioner of India to Australia Nagesh Singh participated in a panel discussion alongside Australia’s Assistant Minister and Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green OAM.
Participants highlighted the importance of translating strategic ideas into practical outcomes to further deepen bilateral engagement between the two countries.
The dialogue reflected the growing strategic partnership between India and Australia and the expanding scope of cooperation across economic, technological and regional security sectors.
