In a symbolic tribute to India’s spiritual traditions, the revered icons ‘Om’ and ‘Swastik’ were unveiled at the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Bendigo.
The event was attended by Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar, Mayor Cr Andrea Metcalf, Ian Green OAM, Chairman of the Great Stupa, councillors, members of the Sri Durga Temple (Melbourne), and the Indian community.
The unveiling reflected the deep spiritual resonance of Indian heritage and its growing presence in Australia’s diverse cultural landscape. The ceremony also underscored values of peace, harmony, and mutual respect across communities.
