Bendigo’s Great Stupa of Universal Compassion recently saw the grand inauguration of the Vrindavan Garden and a Lord Krishna statue. The event, held in celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, was led by Maree Edwards MP, Speaker of the Victorian Parliament, and Dr. Sushil Kumar, Consul General, with the Kerala Hindu Society Bendigo organizing the festivities.
The vibrant celebration, showcasing India’s cultural and spiritual richness, was attended by Cr. Andrea Metcalf, Mayor of the City of Greater Bendigo, Ian Green OAM, Director and Chairman of the Great Stupa, Captain Dr. Smriti Murali Krishna, and numerous members of the Indian diaspora.
