The Bengali Association of Western Australia hosted the vibrant Bijoy mela recently, celebrating the region’s rich cultural heritage. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi attended the event, commending the community’s strong initiatives and highlighting India’s diverse traditions, fine arts, and music.
Takhi also shared his heartfelt greetings for the arrival of INSV Tarini in Fremantle, celebrating the extraordinary courage of its two women naval officers who completed a remarkable 38-day sea journey to Australia.
