The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in collaboration with Bihar Jharkhand Community Australia and Purbi International, organised Bihar Diwas celebrations at the Consulate premises, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the state.
The event featured a vibrant cultural programme that included dance performances, musical presentations, poetry recitations and a thematic skit, offering a glimpse into Bihar’s traditions and diversity. The performances were well received by attendees and reflected the cultural depth of the region.
On the occasion, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the Indian community in Australia. He acknowledged their role in preserving and promoting Bihar’s cultural legacy overseas.
The celebration brought together members of the Indian diaspora, creating a sense of connection to their roots while fostering community spirit.
Organisers said the event aimed to strengthen cultural identity and promote awareness of Bihar’s heritage among the wider community, reinforcing the importance of cultural engagement beyond borders.
