The High Commission of India in Canberra and the Hindu Council of Australia (ACT) jointly organised a community yoga session, bringing together participants to promote health, well-being and inner harmony.
According to the High Commission, the session was led by Vijay Arora and encouraged members of the community to embrace yoga as a means of supporting physical and mental wellness.
The event highlighted the benefits of yoga in promoting healthy ageing, holistic health and overall well-being, in line with the objectives of the International Day of Yoga 2026 campaign.
The High Commission said the programme reflected the growing popularity of yoga in Australia and its role in strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties between Australia and India.
The event formed part of continuing activities organised by the High Commission to promote India’s traditional wellness practices and encourage greater community engagement across Australia.
