The High Commission of India in Canberra and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Sydney, in partnership with Karpahavalli Inc. (Canberra Chapter), organised a Carnatic classical music concert celebrating Indian musical traditions.

The concert featured vocalist Palghat Ramprasad, accompanied by Melakaveri K. Balaji on Mridangam and Thirucherai Karthik on violin.

Organisers said the programme highlighted the depth and heritage of Carnatic classical music and brought together members of the community for an evening of cultural engagement.

The event was also described as an initiative aimed at strengthening cultural and artistic ties between India and Australia through music and cultural exchange.
