The Consulate General of India (CGI), Brisbane, hosted a reception to welcome Jayant
Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, during his visit to Queensland.
The gathering brought together members of the vibrant Indian community, who had the
opportunity to engage directly with the Minister. In his remarks, Chaudhary commended
the diaspora for their valuable role in strengthening people-to-people connections and
fostering closer ties between India and Australia.
The evening underscored the importance of community engagement in advancing
bilateral relations, with the Indian diaspora in Queensland continuing to play a vital part
in building cultural and educational bridges.
