The Coast Indian Arts and Cultural Association (CIACA) is celebrating four years of bringing India’s rich and
diverse cultures to the Gold Coast while strengthening connections between the Indian and wider Australian
communities.
Since its establishment in 2022, CIACA has grown into a vibrant community organisation delivering cultural
celebrations and community initiatives including Diwali, International Men’s Day, Baisakhi, Bihu and Ugadi.
Through these events, CIACA creates opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to come together,
celebrate cultural heritage and build meaningful connections.
A key focus for the CIACA committee is also supporting senior citizens of Indian origin living on the Gold Coast.
The organisation is committed to developing community events and initiatives that provide seniors with
opportunities for social connection, cultural engagement, friendship and participation, helping reduce isolation
while celebrating their valuable contribution to the community.
“CIACA is about more than celebrating Indian culture. It is about building bridges between Indian and Australian
communities and creating a sense of belonging for everyone,” said the CIACA committee.
The association’s flagship annual celebration will be held on 3 October 2026 at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort &
Spa, Surfers Paradise, bringing together families and communities to experience the diversity, colour and
traditions of India in an Australian setting.
CIACA welcomes people of all backgrounds to join its events and be part of its vision of a connected, inclusive
and culturally diverse Gold Coast.
