Melbourne, January 26 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk) Consul General of India, Melbourne, Dr Sushil Kumar met Indian lawn tennis player Rohan Bopanna, recently and congratulated him for having been conferred the Padma Shri Award and for becoming the oldest World No.1 in the history of Men’s Doubles. He also conveyed best wishes for the Australian Open Men’s Doubles Final.
Incidentally, Rohan Bopanna has won the Australian Open Doubles Final 2024, pairing with Matthew Ebden, and becomes the oldest man to win a grand slam at the age of 43 years, and is set to turn 44 this March.
