Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar hosted a grand reception at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for India’s 77th Independence Day. The event was attended by Victorian dignitaries including Deputy Premier Ben Carroll MP, Leader of the Opposition John Pesutto, Parliament Speaker, various Parliamentarians, Mayors, members of the Consular Corps, business leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora. It featured tricolour illuminations and vibrant Maharashtra dhol performances, celebrating India’s rich heritage.
