Consul General of India in Perth Kajari Biswas visited Progentis Pharma and met Prof. Rajesh N. Vaid, co-founder and managing director of Progentis and founder of Synergie, to learn about the company’s work in innovative RNA therapeutics and its efforts to advance research and new technologies.
During the visit, Biswas was briefed on Progentis Pharma’s work in RNA therapeutics and the wider research activities associated with Synergie. The company’s Scientific Advisory Board includes scientists working in areas such as DNA and RNA technology and oligonucleotide research.
The visit provided an opportunity to explore potential avenues for cooperation between India and Western Australia in biotechnology, RNA therapeutics and the life sciences.
Biswas also learned about research and technologies being developed in Western Australia and the efforts of Progentis Pharma and Synergie to explore opportunities in the Indian market.
The engagement highlighted the scope for stronger links between Indian and Western Australian institutions and businesses in emerging areas of biotechnology and life sciences.
