The Consul General of India, Melbourne, Dr Sushil Kumar, recently met Sahil Dhiman from Melbourne, who is participating in the 85th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), currently underway in India from January 6–27, 2026.
During the interaction, the Consul General briefed Sahil Dhiman on the key objectives and important aspects of the programme, which aims to familiarise young members of the Indian diaspora with India’s heritage, culture, governance systems, and contemporary developments. The programme also provides opportunities to visit key institutions and interact with leaders from diverse fields.
On the occasion, the Consul General handed over air tickets and extended best wishes for a meaningful and memorable visit to India.
The Know India Programme, an ongoing initiative of the government of India, continues to strengthen ties with the Indian diaspora by offering participants first-hand exposure to India’s social, cultural, and economic landscape.
