Consul General Kajari Biswas recently called on MLA Don Punch, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Water, Climate Resilience and the South West, to discuss opportunities for cooperation and regional development in Western Australia.
The meeting focused on strengthening Indigenous partnerships and promoting cultural exchanges between Indian and Western Australian artists. Both sides also explored avenues to enhance trade facilitation between India and the South West region, highlighting the role of growing regional engagement in advancing bilateral ties.
Discussions further covered the contribution of the vibrant Indian community in Bunbury in fostering people-to-people connections and supporting collaboration initiatives.
The exchange also included sharing best practices in areas such as water management, climate resilience, and addressing the impact of the green energy transition on water resources.
