Consul General Kajari Biswas recently called on MLA Reece Whitby, Minister for Police, Road Safety, Tourism and the Great Southern, to discuss ways to further strengthen engagement between India and Western Australia.
The discussions covered the Minister’s visit to India last year and the potential for establishing direct air connectivity between an Indian city and Perth. Both sides noted the growing number of Indian tourists visiting Western Australia and explored opportunities to build on this momentum.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in education, sports, and business as key drivers for boosting tourism and enhancing people-to-people connections between India and Western Australia.
