Consul General of India in Brisbane Neetu Bhagotia visited the Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in Brisbane on July 29 to review its operations and assess the delivery of consular services to the Indian community.
According to a post shared by the Consulate General of India in Brisbane on its official social media page, Bhagotia interacted with staff members and applicants during the visit. The Consulate said the interaction reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring smooth, efficient and hassle-free consular services for applicants.
The visit focused on reviewing the functioning of the application centre and understanding the experience of applicants using passport, visa and other consular services. Bhagotia also engaged with staff to discuss operational processes and service delivery.
According to the Consulate, the visit reflects its continued efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of consular services for the growing Indian diaspora in Queensland and neighbouring regions.
The Consulate General of India in Brisbane said ensuring timely, accessible and citizen-friendly consular services remains a key priority, with regular reviews undertaken to enhance the overall applicant experience.
The Indian Consular Application Centre processes passport, visa, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and other consular applications on behalf of the Consulate General of India in Brisbane. According to the Consulate, it remains committed to providing efficient, responsive and applicant-friendly services to members of the Indian community.
