Gold Coast, March 28 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)
The Consulate General of India in Brisbane, in collaboration with the Indian Community of Gold Coast (ICGC), has announced a Consular Camp to provide essential services to members of the Indian diaspora residing in the Gold Coast region.
The initiative is aimed at assisting community members who may find it difficult to travel to Brisbane for consular-related matters. The camp will offer a range of services, including Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) assistance, passport services, visa enquiries, and other miscellaneous consular support.
The camp is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the MCCGC Community Centre in Ashmore, Queensland, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Organisers have advised that prior registration is mandatory, with applicants required to complete the process by scanning a QR code. Attendees are also requested to carry duly filled application forms along with all necessary supporting documents.
Officials noted that such outreach initiatives play a crucial role in bringing consular services closer to the community, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin living in regional areas.
The camp is expected to benefit a large number of residents and further strengthen engagement between the Consulate and the Indian community on the Gold Coast.
