Consulate observes World Meditation Day with diaspora participation

Perth, December 24 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)

The Consulate staff recently celebrated World Meditation Day, in collaboration with the Art of Living and members of the wider Indian diaspora, highlighting the growing importance of mental well-being and mindfulness in daily life.

The programme featured a brief talk outlining the benefits of meditation, followed by light and relaxing physical movements designed to ease stress and prepare participants for meditation. The event concluded with a guided meditation session, which saw active participation from attendees.

Addressing the gathering, the Acting Consul General Naresh kumar emphasised the importance of incorporating meditation into day-to-day living. Stressing its role in enhancing mental clarity and emotional balance, the Acting Consul General noted that regular meditation can help individuals build a more resilient and sustainable way of life.

The observance reflected the Consulate’s continued engagement with the diaspora on initiatives promoting holistic health, well-being, and community connection.
