The Consulate General of India in Brisbane held its quarterly interaction with Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) to review upcoming trade and investment initiatives and identify new opportunities to strengthen economic cooperation between India and Queensland. According to the Consulate General of India in Brisbane, the discussions focused on expanding collaboration through future business engagements and investment promotion activities.
The meeting was attended by the Trade and Investment Queensland delegation led by Gabrielle Troon, Director, International Markets, International Operations. Officials discussed forthcoming trade and investment events in Queensland and explored ways to deepen cooperation between the Consulate and TIQ to further enhance bilateral commercial relations.
According to the Consulate General of India in Brisbane, the discussions reflected the growing momentum in the India–Queensland economic partnership, with both sides examining opportunities to facilitate business engagement, investment and industry collaboration.
Namrata Datt, president of the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) Queensland Chapter, also participated in the meeting. According to the Consulate General, she briefed participants on preparations for the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Australia India Business Council and outlined proposed commemorative events planned across Australia during the milestone year.
According to Trade and Investment Queensland, the agency works with international governments, investors and businesses to promote Queensland’s trade, investment and export opportunities. The meeting formed part of continuing efforts by the Consulate and Queensland stakeholders to strengthen commercial links and support the expanding Australia–India economic partnership through sustained institutional engagement.
