The Consulate General of India in Perth, in collaboration with the Treeby Community Association and the Art of Living Foundation, celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025, with an engaging and inclusive community event.
The celebration reflected this year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” and saw enthusiastic participation from local residents. The event featured guided yoga sessions aimed at promoting physical well-being, mental peace, and collective harmony.
Dignitaries in attendance included Mayor of the City of Cockburn, Logan Howlett, and Councillor Carol Zhang, along with several other members of the community, who joined in support of yoga as a unifying and holistic practice.
Organisers expressed their appreciation for the community’s active involvement and emphasised the importance of such initiatives in strengthening cross-cultural ties and encouraging healthy lifestyles across Western Australia.
