The Hindu Council of Australia Perth recently hosted vibrant Diwali celebrations, bringing the community together despite heavy rains. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi shared warm wishes for compassion, peace, and prosperity with attendees, who included members of the Indian diaspora.
The festivities saw participation from local dignitaries, including Meredith Hammat MLA representing the Deputy Premier of WA, Hugh Jones MLA, and presidents of two Perth Sikh Gurudwaras. Children’s energy and joy added to the lively spirit, as participants celebrated Diwali with unwavering enthusiasm.
