In her acceptance speech, Dr Suraj expressed gratitude for the honour and thanked the organisers for their support of grassroots initiatives. “I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive this Community Leadership Award for the Oxley Ward. My sincere thanks to Milton Dick MP and Margie Nightingale MP for recognising and supporting the work we do within our communities,” she said.
