The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) and its member organizations played a key role in Queensland’s largest multicultural event, the LUMINOUS Festival recently. This year, the festival combined the LUMINOUS Lantern Parade and the MOSAIC Multicultural Festival, creating a vibrant and colourful celebration of diversity and inclusion.
The festival highlighted Queensland’s rich cultural tapestry, showcasing the art, traditions, and heritage of various communities. Under the theme “Everyone Belongs,” the event united people from all backgrounds, celebrating multiculturalism and cultural understanding. FICQ members shared their cultural heritage through art and performances, emphasizing the importance of embracing diversity in Queensland.
