The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland FICQ convened a special general
meeting on 30 November 2025, bringing together member organisations and executive
committee members to discuss the House of India project in Brisbane. Participants joined
both in person and virtually to share updates and consider positive steps for the projects
future.
The meeting outlined a series of actions and decisions aimed at moving the House of India
vision closer to reality. FICQ thanked all member organisations and executive members for
their active involvement, acknowledging the collective effort required to build a lasting
cultural hub for Queensland's Indian community.
