To celebrate the 79th Independence Day of India, the Indian Society of WA (ISWA) and its affiliated associations organised a vibrant India Day Parade in the City of Fremantle.
The parade showcased the multicultural diversity of India, reflecting the unity and richness of its cultural heritage. The streets came alive with colourful displays, traditional performances, and enthusiastic participation from community members.
The Consul General attended the celebration and addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the occasion and the strong ties between India and Australia.
Simone McGurk MLA, Minister for Creative Industries; Heritage; Industrial Relations; Aged Care and Seniors; Women, along with Yaz Mubarakai MLA, Dr. Jags MLA, and Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge of Fremantle, also joined the festivities, adding to the grandeur of the event.
