Consul General Kajari Biswas recently attended the Ganpati Mahotsav organised by the
Marathi Association of Perth, joining community members in celebrating the popular
festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha. She was accompanied by Hugh Jones MLA, who
represented Minister Dr Tony Buti MLA.
Established on 13 July 2017, the Marathi Association of Perth has been actively
promoting Marathi culture and heritage in Western Australia. Through festivals, cultural
events, and community gatherings, the Association continues to provide a platform for
the community to preserve its traditions while sharing them with the wider Australian
society.
The Ganpati Mahotsav highlighted the spirit of devotion and cultural pride, bringing
together families and friends in celebration of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings –
values symbolised by Lord Ganesha.
