The Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) Queensland and Consulate General of India (CGI), Brisbane organised a celebration of the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on October 2, at Roma Street Parklands. There was a large turnout, and the conversations around Gandhi’s values left everyone inspired. The event featured a special musical tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, the distribution of plant saplings, and a walkathon in support of the Swachchta Hi Seva Campaign 2024.Consul General Neetu Bhagotia, accompanied by CGI officials, members of the Indian diaspora, and friends of India, gathered to honour Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion.
