GOPIO Gold Coast has announced a community celebration to mark India’s Republic Day, inviting members of the Indian diaspora and the wider community to come together for a festive and cultural programme in Brisbane.
The celebration will be held on January 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at the Broadbeach Cultural Centre, located at 61 Sunshine Boulevard, Mermaid Waters, Queensland.
Organised as a free community event, the programme will feature a variety of cultural and family-friendly activities. Highlights include cultural performances, a fashion show, a children’s art and craft workshop, food stalls, and a special drama presentation, reflecting the diversity and richness of Indian culture.
Organisers have advised that registration is required for attendance and can be completed online through the designated booking platform.
The Republic Day event aims to foster community spirit, celebrate India’s democratic values, and provide an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to engage with Indian culture in a vibrant and inclusive setting.
