Bhubaneswar, Oct 23 (IANS) Gujarat and Odisha are exploring opportunities to link Odisha’s established metals and minerals industries with Gujarat’s semiconductor, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing sectors, as the state steps up preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2027.
The discussions took place during a roadshow for the summit at Vivanta in Bhubaneswar, which brought together industry representatives and government officials to explore investment opportunities, technology partnerships and cooperation between businesses in the two states.
Ahead of the roadshow, Gujarat Minister of State for Industries and MSMEs, Jayram Gamit, and Lochan Sehra, Secretary in the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department, held meetings with representatives of companies and institutions.
The discussions focused on strengthening industrial ties and identifying opportunities for businesses and institutions in Odisha to engage with Gujarat.

I firmly believe that by bringing together our industries, entrepreneurs and young talent, we can create new opportunities for innovation, employment and shared prosperity. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our collective efforts will further strengthen the journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’,” he said.
According to the Gujarat government, the state accounts for 17 per cent of India’s manufacturing output and 25 per cent of its merchandise exports.
