The Haryanvi Association of Western Australia hosted the Multicultural Haryana Day Mela 2025, proudly showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of Haryana. The event highlighted the state’s vibrant folk music, dance, and traditional attire, giving attendees a window into Haryana’s cultural and historical significance.
Visitors also experienced displays reflecting the state’s agricultural achievements and rapid modern development, illustrating how Haryana blends tradition with progress. The mela provided a platform for the Haryanvi diaspora to connect and engage in cultural exchange with the wider Australian community.
The celebration was attended by Yaz Mubarakai MLA representing Dr Tony Buti, Dr Jags MLA, Hugh Jones MLA, Mayor Logan Howlett, City of Cockburn, Cr Bali Singh, and leaders of various Indian associations, demonstrating strong community and governmental support for preserving and promoting cultural heritage abroad.
