High Commissioner Gopal Baglay led the community in a powerful rendition of Vande Mataram at a vibrant gathering in Perth, commemorating 150 years of the iconic national song. The event brought together members of the Indian diaspora to honour the timeless spirit and unity the song represents.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, the all-women crew of the tri-service expedition Samudra Pradakshina, aboard IASV Triveni, joined the collective recitation. Their presence served as a stirring tribute to India’s unity, resilience, and the growing strength of Nari Shakti across the seas.
