India’s High Commissioner to Australia Nagesh Singh met with Shayne Neumann MP, Federal Member for Blair and Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, to discuss ways of further strengthening the multifaceted Australia–India partnership.
According to a post by India in Australia, the High Commission of India, Canberra, the meeting focused on exchanging views on opportunities to deepen bilateral engagement.
The meeting comes amid continued efforts by Australia and India to broaden cooperation across trade, investment, technology, security and other areas of mutual interest, with parliamentary engagement forming part of the wider bilateral relationship.
