Hindi and Indian culture were celebrated in Brisbane with a community programme organised by Om Positive Brisbane in association with the Consulate General of India, Brisbane.
According to the Consulate General, the programme brought together members of the Indian community, including children, for Hindi poetry, essay writing, poetry recitation and cultural performances.
Consul General of India in Brisbane Neetu M. Bhagotia congratulated the winners and presented certificates recognising their participation in essay writing and poetry recitation.
The programme highlighted the community’s efforts to encourage Hindi among the younger generation and promote Indian cultural traditions in Australia. The event was held at 301 Coronation Drive, Milton, where the Consulate General of India, Brisbane is located.
The Hindi Diwas programme was part of wider community activities marking the importance of the Hindi language and providing children and families with opportunities to engage with Hindi through writing, poetry and cultural expression.
