The enduring partnership between Australia and India was highlighted ahead of India’s 80th Independence Day as High Commissioner of India to Australia Nagesh Singh met Lisa Singh, CEO of the Australia India Institute, at the Australia India Institute, the University of Melbourne.
According to the High Commission of India in Canberra, the meeting was held for a podcast exploring the Australia–India partnership and the many connections between the two countries.
The conversation formed part of the activities marking India@80, celebrating the shared journey of friendship, cooperation and people-to-people ties between Australia and India.
The High Commission described the interaction as a special conversation reflecting the longstanding links between the two countries and the continuing importance of people-to-people connections.
