Melbourne, July 21 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)
Lakshmi Ganapathy, a young professional from Melbourne, is set to embark on a cultural journey to India under the Government of India’s prestigious Know India Programme (KIP). Ahead of her travel, she met with Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar, who offered words of encouragement and shared practical advice about making the most of the experience.
The KIP, organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, aims to connect Indian-origin youth from around the world with their cultural heritage. It provides participants with insights into India’s economy, society, and development, while fostering stronger bonds with their ancestral land.
Dr Kumar noted that such initiatives play a crucial role in bridging generations and geographies, and he wished Lakshmi a rewarding and enlightening visit.
