Consul General of India in Brisbane Neetu Bhagotia met the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Professor Paul Mazerolle, and congratulated him on his appointment.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in higher education and exploring opportunities to deepen partnerships between Indian institutions and UniSQ in areas of mutual interest.
The Consul General and Professor Mazerolle discussed expanding academic cooperation through student and faculty exchanges, research collaboration, skills development and other initiatives that would further enhance educational links between India and Australia.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to building a stronger India–UniSQ partnership, recognising higher education as a key pillar of the growing Australia–India relationship and an important driver of innovation, knowledge sharing and people-to-people ties.
