Sydney, January 22 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk) The 75th Republic Day of India was celebrated at the Consulate of India in Sydney on January 26. The Indian flag was unfurled by Consul General Dr S Janakiraman. This was followed by the playing of the Indian national anthem. The Consul General also read out Indian President Droupadi Murmu’s message. It was followed by cultural performances by members of the Indian community in Sydney.
Indian Australian community has always participated in the Republic Day celebrations at the High Commission of India, Canberra, and Indian Consulates in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
