Excitement is building ahead of the Fremantle Multicultural Cricket Tournament, set to take place at Fremantle Oval on March 2, 2026, with the Indian community team officially unveiling its new jerseys at a special ceremony in Perth.
The new playing kits, sponsored by Avid Sports, were formally presented to the players during an event held at the Consulate General of India. The jerseys were handed over by Dr Jags MLA in the presence of Ansh Gautam, Founding Director and Chairman (Australia) of AvidSys Group, Shruti Simon, Director of Avid Sports, and Indian team captain Vaibhav Chhabra.
The ceremony highlighted strong community support for multicultural sporting initiatives and reflected the growing enthusiasm around the upcoming tournament, which brings together diverse cultural groups through cricket.
Team captain Vaibhav Chhabra expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation and welcomed the backing from sponsors and community leaders. Representatives from Avid Sports noted their commitment to supporting grassroots sport and strengthening community engagement through multicultural events.
