Indian Consulate engages students at roundtable in Perth

Perth, March 18 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)

The Consul General of India in Perth participated in an Indian Student Roundtable organised by the Association of Indian Students Australia (AISA), engaging with students on key issues related to consular services and academic life.

Addressing the gathering, the Consul General outlined the role and functions of the Consulate and highlighted the range of services available to support Indian students in Australia. The session aimed to enhance awareness and strengthen connections between students and the Consulate.

The roundtable also featured several distinguished speakers. ISWA president Deepak Sharma spoke about outreach initiatives and community activities for students, while ECCWA president Dr Sadhana Bose highlighted opportunities in STEM fields and avenues for community engagement.

Dr Rekha Koul from Curtin University shared insights into academic life in Perth, including the opportunities and challenges faced by international students pursuing higher education.

The interactive session provided a platform for dialogue, enabling students to gain valuable information and connect with community leaders and academic experts. Organisers said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support student welfare and foster stronger engagement with the Indian student community in Western Australia.
