Indian Consulate holds talks on community safety and support

Brisbane, February 26 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)
The Consulate General of India, Brisbane, recently hosted a meeting with Charlie Shandil, Regional Director (QLD/NT) of the Australian Department of Home Affairs, alongside representatives from the Queensland Police and members of the Indian diaspora.
The discussions focused on key concerns within the Indian community, including consular services, support for diaspora members, and measures to address domestic violence. The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration between the Consulate, Australian authorities, and the Indian community to improve safety, welfare, and access to resources. By fostering these discussions, the Consulate continues its commitment to addressing the needs of the Indian diaspora and working with Australian agencies to ensure their well-being.
