The Consulate of India in Perth organised a vibrant Poster Making Competition to rally community support for Team India ahead of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™, drawing enthusiastic participation from young supporters and families.
The event saw an overwhelming response, with participants displaying creativity and passion through colourful posters celebrating Indian women’s football. Organisers said the competition aimed to encourage community engagement and build excitement around the tournament while highlighting growing interest in women’s sport.
Four prizes of match tickets were awarded to standout entries, with the tickets generously sponsored through the support of the Perdaman Group. The winners of the competition were Anya Ray, Aarya Buche, Syed Nazafarin Nouf and Darpad Pednekar.
Consulate officials congratulated the winners and thanked all participants for their spirited contributions. The winning tickets will be sent directly to the recipients via email.
The initiative reflects the Consulate’s continued efforts to promote sports diplomacy and strengthen community involvement in major international events, while encouraging young fans to support and celebrate Indian women athletes on the global stage.
