Sydney, April 4 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)
The Consulate General of India in Sydney held a special event on April 3, 2025, to welcome Indian university students studying in the city, offering them a warm introduction to community support and resources.
Dr. S. Janakiraman, Consul General of India, personally greeted the students and engaged in friendly conversations, emphasising the Consulate’s commitment to supporting their academic journey and well-being. A key highlight of the event was the launch of What’s On, a new website developed by the organisation ‘What’s On’, designed to provide international students with easy access to essential information. From social events and legal advice to health resources and academic tips, the platform aims to be a one-stop support hub for students navigating life in Australia.
Students in attendance welcomed both the event and the new platform, expressing appreciation for the Consulate’s efforts in creating a sense of belonging and offering practical tools for their success. The evening reinforced the importance of community and connection for Indian students abroad.
